As of August 29, 2003 DLIB has enabled authenticated access to DIDO for users with non-IU IP addresses. Users at computers with non-IU IP addresses will now be prompted for their IU network ID and password the first time they try to open any DIDO image or the DIDO search page. Please report any problems to the Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts Visual Resources Center (VRC).

The Indiana University Department of the History of Art DIDO Image Bank is dedicated to the storage of low resolution (72 dpi) images from the VRC collection of over 320,000 images. Encompassing the full breadth of art historical periods and media, the Image Bank contains over 61,000 images from our collection.

This compendium of digitized images permits convenient use and access with a graphic web browser. The images are presented in a thumbnail, which leads to a larger image sized to fit most monitors. Access to the images is available through keyword search. This method, however, may not bring out all images, as the Image Bank is in a continuous state of growth. Full access to the online data of the Image Bank is available at the VRC, Fine Arts 002.

The DIDO Image Bank is proud to be part of the IU Digital Library Program.

The images in the DIDO database have been made available to the students, faculty, and staff of Indiana University for use in research, teaching and private study. For any other use, please contact the VRC at Indiana University Bloomington.
